LOCANIS G-TRACK® become Oracle Innovation Award 2007
London, November 2007 – Oracle, the world’s largest enterprise software company, today announced winners of its seventh Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) Innovation Award for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) with Italian partner Software Design flying high to take the top honour. The OPN Innovation Award encourages and rewards innovation by OPN members, where initiatives using Oracle’s products and technology are applied to create value for the customer and generate new business potential.
The award goes to the German partner Locanis AG for its G-TRACK warehouse management solution.
Making use of Oracle Database 10g Standard Edition or Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition and Oracle SQL Developer,
G-TRACK uses software and hardware components to recognise the exact position of transport vehicles, such as forklifts,
and pinpoint the position of individual goods in large warehouse environments. The solution represents a key element in
the total supply chain, delivering extremely accurate batch tracking and reducing loading errors by up to 98 percent.
